Although it's a glorious sunny day here today there's also a seasonal chill in the air and October means that we say the mnemonic above to remember to put our clocks back at the end of this month. This year it happens on Sunday October 30th at 2.00 am.
I had thought that 'Fall' was American for Autumn until I googled it and found out that in Tudor times 'Fall' was commonly used here, & then crossed the seas with the Pilgrim Fathers. We stopped using it here until the saying above started to be popular.
In Lewes it also means that the Bonfire Boys are out and about selling programmes for Bonfire - of which more later !
